Bio Ethics Paper part II

The front door to the Cortez household opened and then slammed shut. Spinner Cortez walked into the living room and threw himself onto the couch face first. His younger brother continued up the stairs.

"How did you do with your paper?" Mrs. Cortez asked coming into the room.

Spinner looked up with a weary grin. His normally cheerful brown eyes were bloodshot and his spiky hair seemed to droop a bit as the exhausted teenager sprawled all over the couch. "Its due on Friday. Friday mom." He said with an unusually high pitched voice. "Do you know what that means?"

"You're finally taking your schoolwork seriously?" His mother asked with an amused grin.

"No. It means I can pass out until Friday." Spinner said and buried his face back into the couch.

"So…you don't want to see what came in the mail today?" His mom asked.

"Not really. No." Spinner's voice was muffled by the couch cushions.

"Then I'll just give Slug Bots 2 to Sherman to play while you—"

Spinner jumped up from the couch, his bloodshot eyes gone, his hair sticking straight up and his voice back to normal. Sort of. "It came?" He squeaked, delight written all over his face. "Where is it?" He demanded.

"In the kitch—"

Spinner was gone. She vaguely heard him stampede up the stairs whooping in delight before the door to his bedroom opened then shut.

"Sherm! Sherm!" Spinner shot out of his room and into Sherman's. "Guess what came in today!"

"Weren't you comatose just a few minutes ago?" Sherman asked, looking up from unloading his backpack.

"Who cares? Slug Bots 2 is here!" Spinner yelled. "Let's play!"
